Hand Colored Rare Books & Maps​

View some of the earliest printed references to paint recipes and see how  complicated the circulation of pigments and dyestuff was throughout the early modern world. Plus, we will make a tiny book….

Join us for an exploration of pigments through the medium of watercolor. Participants will learn historic and contemporary context for paint pigments while experimenting with color mixing in a hands-on workshop held at Wet Paint Artists’ Materials & Framing in St Paul.
